Dr. Melina Manolas is a board-certified internal medicine physician, endocrinologist, and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. She completed her MD and MPH degrees at Tulane University, residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell, and fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Montefiore–Albert Einstein. She is a general endocrinologist but specializes in hepato-endocrinology with a focus on MASLD and MASH. Her clinical and research work centers on improving recognition of MASLD in patients with obesity, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and on developing integrated pathways that strengthen collaboration between endocrinology, hepatology, primary care, cardiology, and more.
Beyond her clinical and academic roles, she mentors trainees and leads digital medical education through her platform @melina.in.medicine, creating accessible, story-driven content for patients, learners, and the public. One of her goals is to increase endocrinology presence at the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD).
