Pratima Sharma, MD, MS

Biography

Dr. Sharma, Professor of Medicine, is a transplant hepatologist and health services researcher with a joint appointment at University of Michigan and VA Ann Arbor, Michigan. Her clinical and research interests include complications of portal hypertension, liver transplant outcomes pertaining to allocation, access and disparities and renal dysfunction before and after liver transplant with special focus of hepatorenal syndrome. She has been an AASLD member for over twenty years and served on many committees and SIGs. She is currently serving as Chair of Liver Transplant and Surgery SIG. Her scientific contributions have led to many evidence-based changes in the liver allocation.
