Biography

Ravshan Yakubov, MBA, CPA, CA is an accounting and finance professional who lives in Ottawa, Canada. Born and raised in Uzbekistan, Ravshan lived, worked and studied in Europe, the USA and Canada.
Ravshan (Rav) was first infected with Hep B in his early childhood at the age of 2 during regular vaccination (via dirty needle). He was diagnosed with chronic Hep B infection at the age of 6. At age of 32 after immigrating to Canada Rav was diagnosed with Hepatitis D (Delta) and liver cirrhosis after his new family doctor referred him to a liver specialist after learning that Rav lived with chronic Hep B since childhood.
Rav is a patient advocate and is currently engaged in various advocacy initiatives with Hepatitis B Foundation (USA), Action Hepatitis (Canada) to raise awareness around hepatitis. Rav is also an active member of the Global Hepatitis B & Delta Community Advisory Board (CAB).
