Following gastroenterology and transplant hepatology fellowships at Mount Sinai Hospital, Stephanie joined the faculty at Weill-Cornell Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital in July 2023 to pursue an academic career focused on clinical/translational research in hepatology.
She is intrigued by genomics and is using biobank data to evaluate the effects of genetic variants on liver disease risk in racially and ethnically diverse populations. Stephanie is also passionate about alcohol-associated liver disease, including the ethical quandary of which patients should be considered for early liver transplantation in alcohol-associated hepatitis and how to manage alcohol use disorder most effectively in this population.
