Vlad Fomin, MD is currently a liver transplant fellow at Columbia University/Weill Cornell Medicine. He received his MD from the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and completed his internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by gastroenterology fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Fomin's clinical and research interests focus on alcohol-associated liver disease and implementing multidisciplinary care models to optimize outcomes for this patient population. He is also interested in the evolving field of machine perfusion and its transformative impact on liver transplantation practices.
When not in the hospital, Dr. Fomin enjoys the ironic hobby of crafting cocktails and is a devoted New York Knicks fan.
