Biography

Professor of Hepatology at Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Odense University Hospital and University of Southern Denmark. ORCID id: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1854-1924

I work to reduce morbidity and mortality from alcohol-related liver disease and steatotic liver disease. My research centers on biomarker development and validation, with a particular focus on early disease detection, cost-effective referral pathways, and omics technologies. Contributor to multiple guidelines on steatotic liver disease, biomarkers, elastography. Research founded in large interdisciplinary research consortia: LiverScreen, LIVERAIM, GALAXY, MicrobPredict, SALVE, DECIDE, LOTUS.
