New directions for WHO Hepatitis B Global Guidelines on Diagnosis, Treatment and Service Delivery

Description

The aim of this special networking global symposium is to share some of the new directions and key messaging as the new WHO global hepatitis B guidelines are being finalised. Topics include expanded criteria for treatment eligibility and for use of antivirals in prevention of mother-to-child transmission, use of PoC HBV DNA assays and reflex viral load testing, testing and treatment for Delta virus infection, and simplified service delivery models. Additional presentations and panel discussion will address plans for hepatitis B guidelines from other professional societies and regions and role of civil society and professional societies, and areas of synergy and opportunities for collaboration.
