Biography

Arpan Mohanty, MD, MSc is a hepatologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, where she directs Clinical Research in Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Boston Medical Center. Her work focuses on metabolic dysfunction–associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), obesity-related liver disease, and advanced chronic liver disease. She leads multiple phase 2 and phase 3 clinical trials and develops innovative, equity-focused care models to improve early detection and management of liver disease in safety-net settings.
