Biography

Dr. Christine Hsu is a transplant hepatologist, assistant research physician and staff clinician at National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases at National Institute of Health. She also has a adjunct faculty position at Georgetown University. Her research interests are aimed at improving outcomes of alcohol associated liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma. She was one of the original principal investigators on ACCELERATE-AH, which is a multi-centered consortium to evaluate outcomes of early liver transplant in patients with alcohol-associated liver disease. She currently remains active on ACCELERATE-PACE, which is a prospective study evaluating outcomes in early liver transplant in patients with alcohol-associated liver disease. Her other research interests include using radiomics and artificial intelligence to predict hepatocellular carcinoma risk in cirrhosis patients. She is also the vice-chair of the Clinical Research Committee on AASLD.
