 
    Christopher Woodrell is a board-certified internist and hospice and palliative medicine physician. He is a clinical research scientist with an appointment as Associate Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Staff Physician at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx. His research interests include developing and testing palliative and supportive interventions to improve the quality of life of people living with cancer and their families, and particularly those with hepatocellular carcinoma. Other interests include palliative care for people with end-stage liver disease, serious illness communication education, care navigation, health equity, surgical palliative care, organ donation processes, and adverse event reporting practices in behavioral and psychosocial research.
