Biography

Dr. Patidar is a Hepatologist and Transplant Hepatologist at Houston Methodist Hospital. He also serves as the Associate Director of Clinical Research for Academic Hepatology at Houston Methodist Hospital. He received his medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and dual fellowships in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at Virginia Commonwealth University. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Transplant Hepatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. His major clinical and research interests include treatment and outcomes of acute kidney injury in cirrhosis, complications of cirrhosis and portal hypertension, alcohol associated hepatitis, and critical care management in patients with acute on chronic liver failure. Dr. Patidar's work has been published in high impact journals, such as Journal of Hepatology, Hepatology, American Journal of Gastroenterology, and Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
