Keri E. Lunsford MD, PhD, FACS is a liver transplant surgeon-scientist in the Division of Transplant and Hepatobiliary Surgery at Rutgers NJMS. She serves as the Director of Translational and Surgical Science and is a member of the Center for Immunity and Inflammation. Her research interests include liver transplant oncology, transplant recipient frailty and immune dysfunction, and hypothermic oxygenated machine perfusion. Dr. Lunsford received her MD/PhD from Ohio State followed by general surgery residency at Duke and transplant/hepatobiliary surgery fellowship at UCLA. Her research is funded by the NIDDK, NCI, NIAID, Feldstein Medical Foundation, and American Society of Transplant Surgeons.
