Jenn Jones: Visionary Behind Sober Livers
Jenn Jones is the Founder and Director of Sober Livers, a groundbreaking Fatty Liver Foundation program dedicated to providing peer support and education to individuals and care partners affected by Alcohol-Associated Liver Disease (ALD), Metabolic Dysfunction with ALD (MetALD), and those navigating liver transplants.
In 2018, Jenn nearly died from liver failure caused by severe alcohol-associated hepatitis and decompensated cirrhosis. Against the odds, she survived without a transplant and today lives with recompensated cirrhosis.
Jenn brings a diverse professional background, including over a decade of business development experience in aerospace, government contracting, and supply chain management, which strengthens her ability to build partnerships and innovative programs. With a B.A. in Communication Studies and a Certificate in Health Communication, she combines professional expertise with her personal journey of resilience to dismantle stigma, empower patients and families, and drive systemic change.
Her advocacy work with leading organizations such as AASLD, the American Liver Foundation, and the Global Liver Institute reflects her deep commitment to transforming lives through education, peer connection, and hope. Sober since 2018 and free from interpersonal violence since 2013, Jenn channels both survival and strength into helping others reclaim health, dignity, and possibility.
