Biography

Dr. Qin Ning is a Professor in Hepatology and Clinical Immunology. She is the chair of institute & Department of Infectious Diseases in Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Dr. Ning's clinical care activities include hepatology, clinical immunology, and infectious disease, with focus on viral hepatitis. Dr. Ning Dr. Ning has published over 400 peer reviewed articles, including BMJ-British Medical Journal, Journal of Hepatology, Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy, Lance Gastroentology and Hepatology, J Clinical Investigation, Hepatology International, J Immunol, etc. These works have been cited by SCI papers for more than 14400 times. Dr. Ning is the Vice President, Chinese Society of Infectious Disease CMA; Global Council Member, International Association for the Study of Liver (IASL); Executive Committee member for APASL; Member for APASL ACLF Study Group and International Symposium on Viral Hepatitis and Liver Disease (ISVHLD) Global Hepatitis Summit (GHS); Executive Committee Member for Coalition to Eradicate Viral Hepatitis in Asia Pacific (CEVHAP).
Dr. Ning presides over several national scientific research projects in China, including the National "12th Five-Year/T13th Five-Year/T14th Five-Year" Major Special Projects in China. She is also the team Leader of the Ministry of Education "Changjiang Scholars and Innovative Research Team Development Plan" Project, the Chief Scientist of the National "973 Program" Major Special Project on Infectious Diseases by the Ministry of Science and Technology. And she is the Deputy Editor of the National Unified Planning Textbooks for Higher Education in Infectious Diseases in China.
Dr. Ning is awarded 2024 Distinguished Mentorship of the Asia-Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver, and she is the Elsevier Highly Cited Scholar (2020 to present), Consecutive years on the global top 2% scientists list in the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
