Biography

Andres Duarte-Rojo is a clinical investigator and a professor at Northwestern – Feinberg School of Medicine. He is the current Director of Liver Transplantation and Living Liver Donor for the Comprehensive Transplant Center at Northwestern Medicine. Following completion of internal medicine and gastroenterology programs, he trained in clinical hepatology (U. Toronto) and transplant hepatology (Mayo Clinic). His academic training includes a Doctorate (PhD) and a Master’s degree (MS) in clinical research from the National University of Mexico (UNAM). Andres’ main clinical interests are complications of advanced chronic liver disease and liver transplantation. He is NIH funded and a member of the T32 program at Northwestern University. His research focuses on disorders of physical fitness and exercise training in cirrhosis, clinimetrics (non-invasive assessment of liver disease), and clinical outcomes in liver transplantation.
