The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases is the leading organization of scientists and health care professionals committed to preventing and curing liver disease. Current Openings

AASLD, an association for scientists and healthcare providers in the field of liver disease, seeks a talented and dynamic governance manager to join our people and strategy team. The Senior Manager, Governance reports directly to the Director, Engagement.  This position supports effective organizational activities including the Governing Board meetings. Manages the annual leadership nominations, elections, member recognition, committee nominations and appointment processes. Provides logistical support to Governing Board meetings and ensures successful implementation/completion of all board meetings and materials. Tracks and maintains governance policies. This position has extensive membership contact, high visibility, and interaction with member leaders as well as with internal and external stakeholders. Serves as a staff liaison to Nominating and Distinguished Awards Committees.  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 3-6 years of successful executive or senior level administrative support, program management and relevant governance, administration, and non-profit experience.  This position requires a proactive professional that has excellent written and verbal communications skills, is detailed-orientated, can manage, cultivate, and maintain relationships, manage multiple priorities as work as a part of a team and independently.

AASLD headquarters is in Alexandria, VA. This position is currently remote due to COVID-19. AASLD offers a competitive benefits package, including a 35-hour workweek, generous vacation/holiday leave, and retirement contribution.

AASLD, an association for scientists and healthcare providers in the field of liver disease, seeks a detail-oriented individual with exceptional interpersonal skills to manages the day-to-day member service and administrative support across various digital educational offerings, as well as the AASLD learning management system. Work collaboratively with colleagues and subject matter experts, in the delivery of digital education. Work closely with colleagues on the optimization of the AASLD learning management system. When assigned, program manage logistics, content and all functions related to the delivery of digital education and events.

The successful candidate will be professional and an energetic, proactive self-starter, with strong administrative, communication, writing, and customer service skills, who is eager to join an energetic team.
