Come join the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), the leading organization of scientists and health care professionals committed to preventing and curing liver disease.  We are seeking a creative Director of Marketing to develop the strategy, planning, and organization of event marketing campaigns for the association.

As the Director of Marketing, you will develop the strategy, planning, and organization of event marketing campaigns for the association.  You will execute marketing strategies that support AASLD’s strategic objectives and will use data analytics to inform strategic approaches and refine campaigns based on performance metrics.  You will oversee the implementation of marketing, branding, and communication strategies, integrating them across the organization.  This position reports to the VP of Marketing & Communications and supervises a talented team of marketing professionals.

You Offer:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8 years of experience in a similar role plus 3 years of management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of association membership processes, databases, & systems
  • Experience developing and executing event marketing strategies
  • Healthcare association membership experience, advanced degree, and/or certification a plus

Program Manager, Education

Come join our team. AASLD, an association for scientists and healthcare providers in the field of liver disease, seeks a Program Manager, Education. The Program Manager, Education works closely with the Director, Education, Program Development and Evaluation, and volunteer member committees to focus on program development and delivery in support of AASLDs two major conferences, The Liver Meeting (TLM) and Digestive Diseases Week (DDW). This position also provides support to standalone conferences and digital education offerings as needed.

The position requires knowledge of content and program development, project management, and strategic scientific programming elements including management of abstract collection, review, and selection; digital “ePoster” program; scientific committee; timeline development; and program content development for digital education.  Additionally, the Program Manager, Education will have knowledge of ACCME accreditation standards and stay current on criteria/revisions to guidelines. Other important skills to be successful in the position are ability to create and follow timelines, adaptability to technology tools, high-level communication skills, attention to detail, keen organization skills, collaborative spirit, creative problem solving, and committee facilitation.

The Sales Manager, Exhibits & Sponsorships works closely with the Senior Manager, Exhibits & Sponsorship to maintain and expand relationships with industry and non-profit organizations and to develop plans and packages for exhibits and sponsorships. This position supports the furtherance of diversifying and strengthening AASLD’s revenue streams with a long-term target of financial independence. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Exhibits and Sponsorships.

Qualified candidates offer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • 2-4 years of sales experience; exhibit/tradeshow knowledge preferred, but not required.
  • Nonprofit/Association experience preferred, but not required.
  • Experience working in a virtual environment preferred.
