AASLD is seeking a Director of Education, Evaluation, & Program Design to lead the design and evaluation of educational products and learning tools.  This is an excellent opportunity to build a new team and create innovative and appealing educational content!  This position offers remote/work-from-home flexibility for local candidates and can be remote for non-local candidates who are willing to travel for meetings.  AASLD offers a competitive benefits package, including a 35-hour workweek and generous vacation/holiday leave.  As a prospective and/or new employee, you will be required to comply with the company’s vaccination protocol.

As the Director of Education, Evaluation, & Program Design, you will leverage instructional design principles to enhance, expand, and administer the AASLD educational portfolio.  In collaboration with AASLD staff, member leaders, and other subject matter experts, you will manage the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of instructionally sound and engaging content for in-person, digital, and blended educational delivery.  Reporting to the VP of Education & Professional Development, you will supervise digital education & learning, accreditation and maintenance of certification, and educational grants.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant area or equivalent work experience plus a minimum of eight years of experience in a similar role and advanced subject matter expertise.  This position requires experience in Continuing Medical Education, instructional design, adult learning theory, curriculum design, educational research methods, program evaluation, and ACCME accreditation and familiarity with MOC, CME, the ACCME Policies and Standards, PhRMA guidelines, and the Physician Payment Sunshine Act.  AASLD seeks individuals with previous work experience in a non-profit association, experience in healthcare, expertise in reading and interpreting financial reports, and volunteer management experience.

As the Senior Manager of Corporate Partnerships, you will create an annual fundraising plan for the AASLD Foundation (AASLD/F) by analyzing past efforts, setting funder priorities and strategies, determining calendar of activities, establishing goals, and evaluating results.  This position reports to the Vice President of Meetings & Corporate Partnerships, with a dotted line to the Foundation Executive Director.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of four years of fundraising experience working with nonprofits and/or advocacy organizations.  AASLD seeks individuals with extensive experience in fundraising strategies and principles with a focus on corporate and foundation philanthropy, experience with healthcare philanthropy and pharmaceutical fundraising, and experience conducting prospect research for potential financial donors.

AASLD, an association for scientists and healthcare providers in the field of liver disease, seeks a talented and dynamic governance manager to join our people and strategy team. The Manager, Governance and Engagement reports directly to the Director, Engagement.  This position supports effective organizational activities including the Governing Board meetings. Manages the annual leadership nominations, elections, member recognition, committee nominations and appointment processes. Provides logistical support to Governing Board meetings and ensures successful implementation/completion of all board meetings and materials. Tracks and maintains governance policies. This position has extensive membership contact, high visibility, and interaction with member leaders as well as with internal and external stakeholders. Serves as a staff liaison to Nominating and Distinguished Awards Committees.  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 3-6 years of successful executive or senior level administrative support, program management and relevant governance, administration, and non-profit experience.  This position requires a proactive professional that has excellent written and verbal communications skills, is detailed-orientated, can manage, cultivate, and maintain relationships, manage multiple priorities as work as a part of a team and independently.

AASLD headquarters is in Alexandria, VA. This position is currently remote due to COVID-19. AASLD offers a competitive benefits package, including a 35-hour workweek, generous vacation/holiday leave, and retirement contribution.
