Alexandria, VA – The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) Foundation, the largest medical society funding source for liver disease research and training in the United States, announced today a funding commitment of over $1.7 million for over 150 grantees. This investment will fuel innovative research to advance the understanding, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of liver disease, while also expanding access to trained hepatology providers and strengthening the global community of investigators working toward cures.
