AASLD Special Interest Groups (SIGs) Election
2027 SIGs Elections Now Open!
We are thrilled to share that this year's SIG nominations received an overwhelming amount of interest through both peer and self-nominations.
The 2027 SIG elections will run from noon EDT on Thursday, Sept. 10 through Thursday, Oct. 1 at 11:59 pm EDT. As an AASLD SIG member, you are encouraged to participate in this year’s elections by casting your ballot for all SIGs of interest.
Active AASLD members who serve on a SIG will receive an automated email from Election Runner containing their unique voter ID/key, including a direct link to the election ballot. Please note, this link is unique to you and should not be shared with others.
Election results will be announced in mid-October.

1. How long will the 2027 SIG elections run?
The 2026 SIG elections will run from noon EDT on Thursday, Sept. 10 through Thursday, Oct. 1 at 11:59 pm EDT.
2. Is anyone eligible to vote?
You must be an active AASLD member to vote.
3. Where can I find a link to submit my ballot?
Eligible AASLD members will receive an automated email from Election Runner for each SIG they belong to containing their unique voter ID and key, including a direct link to the election ballot. Your voter link is unique to you, so do not share it with others.
4. I have not received an email from Election Runner, what should I do?
Check your spam or junk folder for an email from “noreply@electionrunner.com.” The subject line will read: “Your Invitation to Vote in the Election.” If you still cannot locate your election runner email, please email: SIGs@aasld.org.
5. When will election results be announced?
Election results will be announced in mid-October. All new officers and invited are encouraged to attend their respective SIG Membership Meeting(s) at The Liver Meeting 2026.
