Coordinator, Abstracts

AASLD, an association for scientists and health care providers in the field of liver disease, is seeking a detail-oriented individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Familiarity with CME and CE processes preferred.

Responsibilities include coordination and implementation of AASLD’s abstract submission and review processes, and COI processes for abstract submitters, reviewers, and scientific session moderators. Applicant should have excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and the ability to work well in a team environment. Some travel is required.

Editorial Assistant

AASLD seeks an editorial assistant to work with an editorial administration team managing database entry of manuscripts for research journal; communicating with editors, contributing authors, and reviewers; and coordinating with professional publisher. Candidate must be a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and administrative skills with a high attention to detail, the ability to prioritize, multi-task, manage and meet deadlines as well as work in a team environment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two to three years’ professional office experience, preferable for an association or publication, although this is a good position for new graduate interested in scholarly publishing. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, good web and publishing skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
