Manager, Digital Content

AASLD seeks a talented Manager, Digital Content to join our Marketing and Communications team. The individual in this role will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of AASLD’s primary website and its related sites. This will include serving as a consultant to staff for developing web content and strategies to support the organization’s objectives, as well as managing and ensuring adherence to a website editorial calendar.

The Digital Content Manager will maintain the organization's day-to-day operations for AASLD’s primary social media channels, which may include the creation of social media friendly graphics. With Director, Digital Media, this position will help create a video strategy for AASLD web and social media properties. The Manager will use analytics to improve user experience for AASLD.org and all other subsites. The Manager will work with the Director to develop and manage a calendar of awareness campaigns for web and social media. And the position will assist with content creation for web and social media.

Assistant Controller

AASLD seeks a talented Assistant Controller to join our Finance and Administration team. This is a newly created position and the person in this role will be responsible for preparing financial statements, dashboard reports, and analysis. Ensures that AASLD and AASLD Foundation accounting policies and procedures are in conformity with GAAP, FASB and in line with not for profit financial best practices.

The Assistant Controller reports to the Controller and will assist on all financial-related tasks. The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minimum of five or more years of combined accounting experience within the non-for-profit organizations and five years in a supervisory capacity. The CPA designation is preferred.

Qualifications for this role include: a thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, legislation and regulations concerning non-profit accounting and reporting, exceptional accuracy and keen attention to detail, experience with financial statement preparation for not-for-profit entities, experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process, and experience in preparing and review of payroll and non-profit tax filings. We’re looking for a self-starting, highly detailed professional who practices discretion in all financial matters and who has excellent organizational skills.
