Senior Marketing Communications Manager

AASLD, an association for scientists and health care providers in the field of liver disease, seeks a talented senior marketing communications manager to join our marketing and communication team. The person in this role is responsible for creating, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive, strategic marketing communications program to advance the AASLD Foundation’s mission, vision, programs, products and strategic plan.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing communications at a foundation, association, medical society or other nonprofit. Qualifications for this role include: a demonstrated ability to develop marketing strategy, take a leadership role on marketing projects, and provide strategic recommendations to colleagues; ability to execute both print and digital marcom campaigns; exceptional project management, meeting leadership and time management skills; and experience with organizational use of social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and other new media.

AASLD Foundation Development Manager

AASLD Foundation, a charitable organization with a vision of preventing and curing liver disease, is seeking a talented Development Manager to join our fundraising team. The Development Manager will have primary responsibilities for the overall program management, research and growth of the annual fund initiative, including solicitation and stewardship of corporate grants and charitable donations. The Manager will also work collaboratively with staff and leadership to advance a new major campaign initiative. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of fundraising experience, and the character to develop and nurture relationships with key volunteers, donors, and corporate sponsors. Experience with medical association/foundation fundraising desirable.

Medical Editor

AASLD, an association for scientists and health care providers in the field of liver disease, seeks an experienced editor to work on four biomedical journals. This individual will be responsible for providing substantive editing, copyediting and proofreading for manuscripts for traditional, digital-only and multimedia journals.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years’ experience editing technical or biomedical material. Experience with online editing important. Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate clearly with editors and authors are essential. Proficiency MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat, as well as excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are required.

Junior Accountant

AASLD, an association for scientists and health care providers in the field of liver disease, is seeking a Junior Accountant. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for processing the day- to-day accounts payable transactions in an accurate and timely manner. This position reports to the Staff Accountant.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in accounting, BS preferred and a minimum of two years successful accounting experience working with a non-profit organization preferably. Qualifications for this role include: excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, the ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet required deadlines; strong organizational with a high attention to detail; exceptional communication and time management skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and automated accounting systems. Possession of exemplary interpersonal and customer service skills are required.

AASLD, an association for scientists and health care providers in the field of liver disease, is seeking a Coordinator, Research Awards who will coordinate the implementation of AASLD Foundation’s Research and Career Development Awards, Abstract Awards, AASLD Innovation Fund and other AASLD Foundation/AASLD grants programs, including application submission and review processes, and grants financial and scientific reporting.
