On September 24, AASLD / AMH / CASL joined forces to lead a timely discussion on the impact of the varied public health responses to the COVID-19 pandemic on patients with liver disease. After providing an update on the burden of COVID-19 in general and on the liver patient population throughout North America, speakers and panelists from Canada, Mexico and the United States discussed similarities and differences in terms of access to care in the three countries and address ways in which clinicians and researchers can address health care disparities in their own practices.
