Neurocognitive involvement in children with chronic liver disease (CLD) or portosystemic shunting (PSS) is an underrecognized but clinically meaningful complication with implications for neurodevelopment and long-term outcomes. While hepatic encephalopathy is well-defined in adults, children with liver disease may exhibit distinct and often subtle neurocognitive manifestations that are not adequately captured by adult-based definitions. This webinar will address the awareness gap in routine pediatric hepatology care and explore the clinical spectrum, assessment, and management of neurocognitive involvement in children with liver disease.
