A missense mutation in the proprotein convertase gene furinb causes hepatic cystogenesis during liver development in zebrafish

They may cause hepatomegaly and abdominal pain. Progression to secondary fibrosis, cirrhosis, or cholangiocarcinoma can lead to morbidity and mortality.
