Early studies in the field focused primarily on the intrinsic regulators of CSC maintenance, but in recent years, mounting evidence has demonstrated the presence and role of extrinsic regulators in the tumor microenvironment (TME) in the control of liver CSCs.

Acute portal hypertension using portal vein ligation abrogates TRAIL expression of liver‐resident NK cells

The aim of this study, therefore, was to investigate how acute PHT influences the functions and characteristics of liver‐resident NK (lr‐NK) cells using an acute PHT mouse model.
