Sanda Win, Tin Aung Than, Jun Zhang, Christina Oo, Robert Win Maw Min, Neil Kaplowitz – 30 November 2017 – The c‐Jun‐N‐terminal‐kinase (JNK) family is highly conserved across species such as Drosophila, C. elegans, zebrafish and mammals, and plays a central role in hepatic physiologic and pathophysiologic responses. These responses range from cell death to cell proliferation and carcinogenesis, as well as metabolism and survival, depending on the specific context and duration of activation of the JNK signaling pathway.

Toward the elimination of hepatitis C in the United States

Tong – 27 November 2017 – The emergence of effective direct‐acting antiviral (DAA) agents has reignited discussion over the potential for hepatitis C elimination in the United States. Eliminating hepatitis C will require a critical examination of technical feasibility, economic considerations, and social/political attention. Tremendous advancement has been made with the availability of sensitive diagnostic tests and highly effective DAAs capable of achieving sustained viral response (SVR) in more than 95% of patients.
