Little is known about dual‐specificity phosphatases (DUSPs) in HCC. We investigated DUSP9 expression in human HCC, associations between DUSP9 and patient outcomes, and effects of altered DUSP9 expression on HCC biology. We studied public data sets as well as 196 patients at our institution who had HCC resections.

Post–Liver Transplant Early Allograft Dysfunction Modifies the Effect of Pre–Liver Transplant Renal Dysfunction on Post–Liver Transplant Survival

Data on 2,856 primary LT recipients who received a transplant between 1998 and 2018 were retrospectively reviewed. Patients who died within the first post‐LT week or received multiorgan transplants and previous LT recipients were excluded.

Whether a similar relationship exists among liver transplant recipients (LTR) is unknown. We assessed graft loss and mortality among adult LTRs from January 1, 2010, to March 14, 2020, in the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network database.
