Kevin Ig‐Izevbekhai, David S. Goldberg, Seth J. Karp, David P. Foley, Peter L. Abt – 24 June 2020 – Recipients of donation after circulatory death (DCD) LTs historically have an increased risk of graft failure. Antibody induction (AI) with antithymocyte globulin (ATG) or anti‐interleukin 2 receptor (anti‐IL2R) immunotherapy may decrease the incidence of graft failure by mitigating ischemia/reperfusion injury.

Chimaobi M. Anugwom, Justin R. Parekh, Christine Hwang, Malcolm MacConmara, William M. Lee, Thomas M. Leventhal – 24 June 2020 – Spontaneous survival rates in acute liver failure (ALF) are vastly improved by liver transplantation (LT). However, the value of induction agents beyond steroids continues to be debated. To understand the potential benefit of different induction regimens in the ALF population, we compared overall survival of recipients undergoing LT in the United States for ALF.

Julia Ritchie, Dominika Seidman, Yanin Srisengfa, Emily R. Perito, Monika Sarkar – 24 June 2020 – Fertility is often impaired in adolescents and women with cirrhosis, but it is rapidly restored after liver transplantation (LT). Early and unplanned pregnancies confer increased risks to maternal, fetal, and graft health, underscoring the need for reproductive counseling. However, data on reproductive practices or counseling in the LT setting are limited.
