Dr. Sujit V. Janardhan is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the section of Hepatology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He completed his medical training, PhD in immunology residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Chicago. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Obesity medicine.
Dr. Banrida Wahlang is an Assistant Professor at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and a board-certified toxicologist (DABT). Her research program focuses on the mechanistic and translational toxicology of environmental contaminants and their role in liver disease with emphasis on sex-specific mechanisms and endocrine-metabolic disruption.
Dr. Frederick Adams Ekuban is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. His research program in environmental health and toxicology focuses on elucidating the molecular mechanisms by which environmental pollutants, particularly per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), interact with lifestyle factors to promote liver disease.
Dr. Beier's research focuses on the interaction between environmental toxicants and metabolic liver diseases. Her work on vinyl chloride has contributed significantly to our understanding of how environmental chemicals modify liver disease risk, particularly in the context of MASLD/MASH and hepatocellular carcinoma.

Janice Jou, MD, MHS,FAASLD, is a transplant hepatologist and section chief of gastroenterology at the VA Portland Healthcare System. Dr. Jou is also the Director of Education and Professional Development in the Division of Gastroenterology, Professor of Medicine and Associate Vice-Chair for Faculty Development in the Department of Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Jou has been active in leading educational initiatives and addressing workforce matters for the AASLD. She currently serves on the AASLD Governing Board as Secretary.
Dr. Reena Salgia is a transplant hepatologist and medical director of the Liver Cancer Clinic at Henry Ford Health. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University and Michigan State University and since 2017 has served as the Program Director for the Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology Fellowship Programs at Henry Ford.
Dr. Vandana Khungar is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Yale University. She serves as the associate medical director of liver transplant, transplant hepatology fellowship program director and the vice chief for diversity, equity and inclusion for the section of digestive diseases. Her areas of interest include women's health and improving processes of care for patients with cirrhosis and those who have undergone a liver transplant.
Jasmohan S. Bajaj, is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Virginia Commonwealth University and Richmond VA Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Bajaj finished training in India, followed by Medicine and GI/Hepatology training in the United States. He also earned a master's degree in Epidemiology.
