Emily R Perito

Dr. Emily R. Perito is a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at UCSF in the Departments of Pediatrics and of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She is Medical Director of UCSF's multi-disciplinary Pediatric Liver Center. She is Co-Chair of the Starzl Network for Excellence in Pediatric Transplantation and helps lead their efforts to improve the efficacy and reduce the burden of immunosuppression for children after liver transplant.

Saul Karpen

Saul J. Karpen, M.D., Ph.D., FAASLD, is the inaugural chief scientific officer for the Stravitz-Sanyal Institute for Liver Disease and Metabolic Health at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Va., where he is a professor of internal medicine and adjunct professor in pediatric medicine at the VCU School of Medicine. He holds the Phillip B. Hylemon Endowed Chair of Medicine and Microbiology and is a pediatric hepatologist at the VCU Children's Hospital of Richmond.

Andrew Keaveny

Dr. Andrew Keaveny is a Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Staff and Consultant Hepatologist at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from the medical school at University College Dublin and pursued post-graduate training in Ireland and Boston, Massachusetts. His research interests include treatment of portal hypertension and improving outcomes after liver transplantation. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland and the AASLD. Throughout his career, he has been very active in post-graduate education.

Helena Cortez-Pinto

Helena Cortez-Pinto (MD, PhD) is a specialist in gastroenterology and is dedicated predominantly to hepatology: steatotic liver disease, advanced liver disease, and public health. She is Full professor of Medicine, at Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade de Lisboa (FMUL). Director of Clínica Universitária de Gastrenterologia, and Coordinator of the Hepatology Unit of CHLN, Portugal. President of the Scientific Council of FMUL since 2022. Past President of United European Gastroenterology (UEG) (2022-2023).

Steven L Flamm

Steven L. Flamm, MD is a Professor of Medicine and Clinical Director of Network Development and Outreach for the Transplant Service Line. Director of Research in the Section of Hepatology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Formerly served as the Chief of the Hepatology Program and Medical Director of Liver Transplantation at Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Flamm received his MD degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
