Janice Jou, MD, MHS,FAASLD, is a transplant hepatologist and section chief of gastroenterology at the VA Portland Healthcare System. Dr. Jou is also the Director of Education and Professional Development in the Division of Gastroenterology, Professor of Medicine and Associate Vice-Chair for Faculty Development in the Department of Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Jou has been active in leading educational initiatives and addressing workforce matters for the AASLD. She currently serves on the AASLD Governing Board as Secretary.

Dr. Reena Salgia is a transplant hepatologist and medical director of the Liver Cancer Clinic at Henry Ford Health. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University and Michigan State University and since 2017 has served as the Program Director for the Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology Fellowship Programs at Henry Ford.

Dr. Vandana Khungar is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Yale University. She serves as the associate medical director of liver transplant, transplant hepatology fellowship program director and the vice chief for diversity, equity and inclusion for the section of digestive diseases. Her areas of interest include women's health and improving processes of care for patients with cirrhosis and those who have undergone a liver transplant.

Jasmohan S. Bajaj, is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Virginia Commonwealth University and Richmond VA Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Bajaj finished training in India, followed by Medicine and GI/Hepatology training in the United States. He also earned a master's degree in Epidemiology. Active in research, Dr. Bajaj has served as a principal investigator or co‐investigator for numerous clinical trials in hepatic encephalopathy, chronic liver disease, and microbiome. Dr.

Dr. Elizabeth Verna is the Frank Cardile Associate Professor of Medicine and the Director of Hepatology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where she practices as transplant hepatologist. Dr. Verna has an active clinical research program in end-stage liver disease and liver transplantation and is the Director of Clinical Research for the Columbia University Transplant Clinical Research Center.

I am an American, Spanish-trained physician, quadruple board-certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Transplant Hepatology and Obesity Medicine. Since I joined the VA in August 2016, I have been pursuing the triple threat: to boost hepatology education of residents and fellows, to have clinical excellence, and to excel in hepatology research. My areas of interests are outcomes research in chronic liver diseases, acute-on-chronic liver diseases and prognostic modeling.

Dr. Anand V. Kulkarni is the senior consultant and director of critical care hepatology at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, Hyderabad, India. Has multiple national and international awards recognizing his contributions from AASLD, APASL, and ISG. He has more than 150 PubMed-indexed publications to his credit. His main areas of research focus include alcohol-associated hepatitis, ACLF, HCC and LDLT.

Transplant hepatologist and intensivist at Curry Cabral Hospital, Nova Medical School, Lisbon, Portugal. Master of science with research interests in acute liver failure, acute-on-chronic liver failure, and liver transplantation.

Dr. Apte is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Therapeutics at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Additionally, he serves as the Associate Director of the University of Kansas Liver Center and the Director of the Cells, Tissues, Bioanalysis and Biostatistics (CTBB) Core of Kansas Center for Metabolism and Obesity (KC-MORE). Dr. Apte's research is focused on mechanisms of drug-induced liver injury and regeneration, and adverse effects of environmental contaminants on the liver.
