Beatriz Revilla‐Nuin, África de Bejar, Laura Martínez‐Alarcón, José Ignacio Herrero, Carlos Manuel Martínez‐Cáceres, Pablo Ramírez, Alberto Baroja‐Mazo, José Antonio Pons – 22 December 2016 – Regulatory T cells (Tregs) play a potential role in operational tolerance in liver transplantation (LT) patients, and microRNAs (miRNAs) are known to be involved in immunological responses and tolerance.

Health‐related quality of life after pediatric liver transplantation: A systematic review

Arpita Parmar, Shannon Marie Vandriel, Vicky Lee Ng – 22 December 2016 – With improved survival rates after pediatric liver transplantation (LT), attention is targeting improving the health‐related quality of life (HRQOL) as an outcome metric. We conducted a systematic review of the literature to examine HRQOL after pediatric LT, focusing on assessment tools and factors associated with HRQOL. A literature search was conducted through PubMed, Web of Science, Ovid, and Google Scholar for all studies matching the eligibility criteria between January 2004 and September 2016.

Can response to locoregional therapy help predict longterm survival after liver transplantation for hepatocellular carcinoma? A systematic review

Paul D. Morris, Jerome M. Laurence, David Yeo, Michael Crawford, Simone I. Strasser, Geoffrey W. McCaughan, Charbel Sandroussi – 22 December 2016 – For a selected group of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), liver transplantation (LT) represents the best chance of a cure.
