Wnt signaling regulates hepatobiliary repair following cholestatic liver injury in mice

Furthermore, if predominant injury is to cholangiocytes, the hepatocytes can transdifferentiate to cholangiocytes to assist in the repair and vice versa, as shown by various fate‐tracing studies. However, the molecular bases of reprogramming remain elusive.

Sirtuin 2 aggravates postischemic liver injury by deacetylating mitogen‐activated protein kinase phosphatase‐1

Because protein levels of Sirt2 are increased in ischemia‐reperfusion (I/R)‐injured liver tissues, we examined whether Sirt2 is protective or detrimental against hepatic I/R injury. We overexpressed Sirt2 in the liver of C57BL/6 mice using a Sirt2 adenovirus.

Longterm outcomes of stent placement for hepatic venous outflow obstruction in adult liver transplantation recipients

From June 2002 to March 2014, 23 patients were confirmed to have a hepatic venous outflow obstruction after liver transplantation (18 of 789 living donors [2.3%] and 5 of 449 deceased donors [1.1%]) at our institute.

Impact of donor‐recipient genetic relationship on outcome of living donor liver transplantation

In addition, rejection rates were found to be lower in LDLT, which is attributed to the fact that LDLT is usually performed between relatives.
