Our aim is to investigate the efficacy of HBV vaccination for preventing DNHB in adult living donor liver transplantation (LDLT).

Here, we hypothesize that ethanol administration retards lipophagy by down‐regulating dynamin 2 (Dyn2), a protein that facilitates lysosome re‐formation, contributing to hepatocellular steatosis. Primary hepatocytes were isolated from male Wistar rats fed Lieber–DeCarli control or ethanol (EtOH) liquid diets for 6‐8 weeks.

Current liver allocation policies that dictate a “sickest first” approach coupled with a mismatch between need and availability of organs result in longer wait times, and thus, patients are becoming increasingly ill while awaiting organ transplantation.
