Maddie Kubiliun

Maddie Kubiliun is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in steatotic liver disease, chronic liver disease, and transplantation medicine. Dr. Kubiliun earned her medical degree at the University of Miami in Florida and completed a residency in internal medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Wen-Xing Ding

Dr. Ding is a William Warner Abercrombie professor of the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Therapeutics at KUMC. The Ding laboratory has been working on the role of autophagy in alcohol and drug-induced liver injury since 2009. The Ding Lab is particularly interested in how autophagy selectively removes cellular damaged/excess organelles such as mitochondria and lipid droplets in hepatocytes. Dr. Ding has extensive expertise in organelle stress and quality control in cell death and innate immunity in the pathogenesis of alcohol-associated liver disease.

Romina Fiorotto

Dr. Romina Fiorotto, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pathology at the Yale School of Medicine. As a basic research scientist, she is particularly interested in biliary biology and pathobiology. Her research career has focused on the fundamental pathophysiological mechanisms of diseases affecting the biliary tree, including Cystic Fibrosis-related cholangiopathy, Alagille Syndrome, Polycystic liver diseases, and Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). Gia Landry

Dr. Gia Landry is a transplant hepatologist and gastroenterologist. She is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Louisiana State University and practicing gastroenterologist at Lane Regional Medical Center in Louisiana. In addition to clinical practice and academic medicine, Dr. Landry utilizes her MPH and clinical expertise as the Clinical Network Specialist for the Louisiana Department of Health's initiative to eliminate hepatitis C (HCV).

Scott J. Cotler

Scott Cotler, MD is a Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Hepatology at Loyola. He has a busy clinical practice at sites throughout the state of Illinois. His research interests include modeling of viral hepatitis and studies of hepatocellular carcinoma. He is dedicated to teaching and mentoring.

Suzanne Chan

Suzanne Chan received her medical degree from the McGovern Medical School at University Texas at Houston, and her PhD in cancer biology from the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She is currently an Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and staff physician at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Her clinical practice focuses on the management of patients with advanced liver disease, and pre- and post- liver transplant care.

David Sass

David A. Sass, MD FAASLD is the Rorer Professor of Medicine and Medical Director of Liver Transplantation at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr Sass received his MBChB degree with honors from the University of Cape Town Medical School, South Africa in 1992. He completed residency training and chief residency in Internal Medicine at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, followed by a 4-year fellowship in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at the University of Pittsburgh.

Yasuko Iwakiri

Dr. Yasuko Iwakiri is a Professor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in liver fibrosis, cirrhosis, and portal hypertension, with a focus on the vascular system, including lymphatics and liver endothelial cells. Her research also investigates endothelial-immune cell interactions, particularly macrophages, in alcohol-associated liver disease. She currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Hepatology and has previously held editorial roles with Hepatology and Hepatology Communications.

Vik Meadows

I'm Vik Meadows, PhD, a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pittsburgh researching the role of bile duct integrity in hepatocyte reprogramming and gut-liver axis homeostasis under the mentorship of Dr. Satdarshan 'Paul' Monga.

Ayman A Koteish

I am a transplant hepatologist. I direct the liver transplant and hepatology program at AdventHealth transplant institute. My interests are in ESLD acute care, MASH-ASH, cholestatic and viral diseases as well as liver transplant. I do have a deep interest in medical education.
