Mark Muthiah

Dr Muthiah is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. He graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He subsequently undertook specialist training in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Hepatology, graduating as the valedictorian of his cohort. He undertook further research training in Hepatology in Virginia Commonwealth University, USA under Prof Arun Sanyal.

Arpan Mohanty

Arpan Mohanty, MD, MSc is a hepatologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, where she directs Clinical Research in Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Boston Medical Center. Her work focuses on metabolic dysfunction–associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), obesity-related liver disease, and advanced chronic liver disease. She leads multiple phase 2 and phase 3 clinical trials and develops innovative, equity-focused care models to improve early detection and management of liver disease in safety-net settings.

Scott Biggins

Dr. Scott W. Biggins is Professor of Medicine & UPMC Endowed Chair for Patient Centered Care, Chief of Hepatology, Director of UPMC Liver Care, Medical Director of Liver Transplant and Co-Director of Clinical Research at the University of Pittsburgh Starzl Transplant Institute. Dr. Biggins is a nationally recognized clinician and researcher in the field of Hepatology. He received his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering (bioengineering option) from UCLA and his medical degree from USC.

Sumera I. Ilyas

Sumera I. Ilyas, M.D, is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. She is a physician-scientist who underwent training in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and subsequently completed Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology fellowships at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester. Her academic focus is hepatobiliary neoplasia. She is the director of the Mayo Clinic Hepatobiliary Neoplasia Clinic and Transplant Oncology Clinic.

Daniela Sia

Daniela Sia is an Associate Professor in the Division of Liver Diseases, Department of Medicine, at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS). Her current research focuses on generating a deep knowledge of the molecular mechanisms driving biliary tract cancers with the ultimate goal of identifying novel therapeutic targets.

Tinsay A Woreta

Dr. Tinsay Woreta is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed her medical and MPH degrees as well as Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology fellowship at Johns Hopkins. Her clinical and research interests are focused on the diagnosis and management of patients with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
