Dr. Squires earned his medical degree from the University of Texas and went on to complete his training in general pediatrics at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). Following residency, he completed fellowships in both pediatric gastroenterology and pediatric advanced/transplant hepatology at CCHMC and completed a Masters in clinical and translational at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Ridruejo currently works as the Head of the Hepatology Section from the Department of Medicine at Center for Medical Education and Clinical Research, Norberto Quirno CEMIC in Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires. Maddie Kubiliun is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in steatotic liver disease, chronic liver disease, and transplantation medicine. Dr. Kubiliun earned her medical degree at the University of Miami in Florida and completed a residency in internal medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Ding is a William Warner Abercrombie professor of the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Therapeutics at KUMC. The Ding laboratory has been working on the role of autophagy in alcohol and drug-induced liver injury since 2009. The Ding Lab is particularly interested in how autophagy selectively removes cellular damaged/excess organelles such as mitochondria and lipid droplets in hepatocytes. Dr. Ding has extensive expertise in organelle stress and quality control in cell death and innate immunity in the pathogenesis of alcohol-associated liver disease.
Dr. Romina Fiorotto, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pathology at the Yale School of Medicine. As a basic research scientist, she is particularly interested in biliary biology and pathobiology. Her research career has focused on the fundamental pathophysiological mechanisms of diseases affecting the biliary tree, including Cystic Fibrosis-related cholangiopathy, Alagille Syndrome, Polycystic liver diseases, and Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). Dr.
Dr. Gia Landry is a transplant hepatologist and gastroenterologist. She is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Louisiana State University and practicing gastroenterologist at Lane Regional Medical Center in Louisiana. In addition to clinical practice and academic medicine, Dr. Landry utilizes her MPH and clinical expertise as the Clinical Network Specialist for the Louisiana Department of Health's initiative to eliminate hepatitis C (HCV).
Scott Cotler, MD is a Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Hepatology at Loyola. He has a busy clinical practice at sites throughout the state of Illinois. His research interests include modeling of viral hepatitis and studies of hepatocellular carcinoma. He is dedicated to teaching and mentoring.
Suzanne Chan received her medical degree from the McGovern Medical School at University Texas at Houston, and her PhD in cancer biology from the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She is currently an Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and staff physician at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Her clinical practice focuses on the management of patients with advanced liver disease, and pre- and post- liver transplant care.
David A. Sass, MD FAASLD is the Rorer Professor of Medicine and Medical Director of Liver Transplantation at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr Sass received his MBChB degree with honors from the University of Cape Town Medical School, South Africa in 1992. He completed residency training and chief residency in Internal Medicine at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, followed by a 4-year fellowship in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at the University of Pittsburgh.
