Maria Reig, MD, PhD, is an internationally recognized physician-scientist specializing in liver diseases and liver cancer. She is currently Head of the Hepatic Oncology Unit at Hospital Clínic Barcelona, Head of the Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) group at IDIBAPS, and Head of the Hepatic Oncology Group at CIBEREHD. She is also a member of the CIBEREHD Steering Committee. Her work focuses on advancing clinical research, innovation, and treatment strategies for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.

Veronica Nguyen, MD, is a Transplant Hepatologist at Inova Health System. She completed her Transplant Hepatology fellowship at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Nguyen is an active member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) and has served on its Special Interest Group Steering Committee since 2022. She contributes to the field as a peer reviewer for journals including Transplantation, Clinical Liver Disease and ACG Case Reports Journal.

I am a transplant hepatologist, clinical researcher, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina (UNC). I practice within the UNC Multidisciplinary HCC Clinic. The overall goal of my clinical work and research is to improve outcomes among patients with liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by identifying risk factors for liver disease and HCC development, optimizing earlier disease detection and designing interventions to proactively address symptoms and liver-related decompensation related to HCC treatments.

Dr. Kilaru is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where she also serves as Program Director of the Transplant Hepatology Fellowship. She currently serves as Chair of the AASLD Inclusion and Diversity Committee.

Dr Manon Allaire is Doctor of Medecine in La Pitié Salpétrière Hospital in Paris, headed by Pr Thabut. She focuses on teaching and research in hepatocellular carcinoma with focus in portal hypertension and systemic therapy. Dr Allaire obtained her medical degree in Hepatology and Gastroenterology in 2015 and her complementary medical degree in Medical Oncology in 2017. She is responsible of the Department of primary liver tumor in La Pitié Salpétrière Hospital, and of clinical and translational trials focus on primary liver tumor.

Dr. Patil completed her Internal Medicine Residency at New York University - Brooklyn and her Fellowship in Hepatology and Liver Transplantation at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. In 2018, she shifted from a general Hepatology clinical practice to a focus on building and scaling a MASH clinical research program. She is the Founder of South Texas Research Institute (STRI), the premier private clinical research site network originating in the underserved region of the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

Richard So is dedicated to eliminating hepatitis B and liver cancer, with a vision of making the San Francisco Bay Area the first hepatitis B free region in the U.S. He has over a decade of experience in healthcare, including five years as Executive Director of Hep B Free, one of the country's leading hepatitis B organizations. His background spans healthcare consulting, Peace Corps service in rural Paraguay, and leadership across major coalitions like Hep B United, End the Epidemics, and the California Hepatitis Alliance.

Sandra M. Quezada, M.D., M.S., AGAF is Associate Dean for Admissions and Associate Dean for Health Strategy and Engagement at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. She is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and her practice and research interests center on delivering high-quality, equitable inflammatory bowel disease care.

Dr. Duong is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Stanford University. He is the Founder and Director of the LGBTQ+ Comprehensive GI and Liver Health Program. He also co-founded and currently is the Co-Executive Director of a non-profit, Rainbows in Gastro. During his time in residency at Georgetown University, he was selected as an AASLD Emerging Liver Scholar.

Dr. Lauren Nephew is Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and the Associate Vice Chair of Health Impact for the Department of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine. Her research program focuses on understanding how the structural and social determinants of health contribute to disparities in liver disease and developing interventions that improve access to care.
